#Installation
#Requirements
- A Paper server running Minecraft 1.19.4 or newer.
- Java 17 or newer for the plugin bytecode. Use the Java version required by your Paper build.
- Write access to the server's
pluginsdirectory.
Spigot, CraftBukkit and versions older than 1.19.4 are not supported. Display Entities were introduced in Minecraft 1.19.4 and are required by every Blockcade renderer.
#Install the plugin
- Stop the server completely.
- Put
Blockcade-1.0-SNAPSHOT.jarin the server'spluginsdirectory. - Start the server and wait for
Enabled 15 arcade gamesin the console. - Join and run
/arcade. - Choose a game from the menu.
The first boot creates plugins/Blockcade/ with all configuration files, statistics storage and the extracted resource pack.
#Expected startup messages
The plugin reports its renderer mode and compatibility adapter at startup. If a resource pack URL is configured, it also prints the pack SHA-1. Warnings about an unavailable pack mean AUTO will use the legacy renderer; they do not prevent the plugin from starting.
#First checks
- Confirm
/arcadeopens the menu. - Confirm a permitted player can start Snake.
- Confirm movement does not physically move the player while a session is active.
- Stop the game with
/arcade stopand confirm the original location and movement state are restored. - If using the enhanced renderer, accept the pack and start a new session after it finishes loading.
