#Frequently Asked Questions
#Does Blockcade require UltimateUI?
No. Blockcade contains the renderer logic, bitmap fonts, resource pack and relocated PacketEvents runtime it needs.
#Do I need to build arenas or separate worlds?
No. A private arcade display appears in front of each player at their current location.
#Can multiple players play at once?
Yes. Every player receives an independent session up to max-active-sessions. Connect Four local mode is the exception: two people alternate controls on one player's session.
#Does it support Spigot?
No. The supported server platform is Paper 1.19.4 or newer.
#Can players decline the resource pack?
Yes, when required is false. AUTO with legacy fallback keeps the games usable without it.
#Can I use my own resource pack?
Yes, but packs must be merged without changing Blockcade's font JSON paths, private-use codepoints or atlas layout. Serve the merged archive and place its URL in external-url.
#Does 60 async FPS mean 60 TPS gameplay?
No. It controls delivery checks, while Paper simulation remains capped at 20 TPS.
#Which settings need a restart?
Resource pack hosting, async packets, storage file, scheduler-related settings and configured board dimensions should be changed with a restart. Messages and many visual options can be reloaded, but active sessions keep their existing renderer.
#Where are player records stored?
In plugins/Blockcade/stats.properties, unless the filename is changed in storage.yml before startup.
#How do I get support information?
Provide the Paper version, Java version, Blockcade version, renderer mode, relevant configuration section and the complete error stack trace. /bcade info and /bcade debug provide useful starting details.
