#Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Likely cause and fix |
|---|---|
DataStoreService: StudioAccessToApisNotAllowed in Output | Expected in Studio without API access; the game runs on a temporary profile. Turn on Enable Studio Access to API Services to test saving. |
| The loading screen stays for a long time in Studio | In Studio meshes are fetched from the cloud. Real players should see it faster, and the bar is capped at about 12 seconds anyway. |
Some meshes log MeshContentProvider failed … could not fetch | Some uploaded mesh assets are not accessible from this place. They are probably owned by another account; re-upload them under the experience owner. |
| An egg does not hatch | It is still growing — the Ready label appears at the end of its hatch time. Hold E for half a second next to it. |
| "All nests are full" | You are at your nest limit (2 + rebirths). Hatch an egg first. |
| "Place the egg inside your base, away from the fence." | The clicked point is outside the Region or too close to the fence. Click closer to the middle of your ranch. |
| "Your egg broke!" | The carry timer ended. Rare eggs far away need a faster pet; see the formula in Plots & the Core Loop. |
| No eggs on the map | The spawn points are missing the tag RidePetEggSpawn or the Tier attribute; the roll has nothing to place eggs on. |
| A pet is a Unicorn but should be something else | That pet kind has no model yet, so the placeholder (Catalog.TestPetModel) is used. Add the model under ReplicatedStorage.RidePetDisplay.Pets and to Catalog.PetModels. |
| The Admin button is missing | Your UserId is not in Config.Admins, or the place has not been restarted since you added it. |
| You cannot jump higher | Jump height grows with ride speed; slow pets jump about as high as a walking avatar. |
#Models
Each pet needs a model in ReplicatedStorage.RidePetDisplay.Pets with its pivot at the feet, facing −Z, a single skinned MeshPart and — if you want animated legs — bones named frontleg, R_frontleg, backleg and R_backleg. Then add it to Catalog.PetModels and Catalog.TestPets so eggs can hatch it. Eggs go in ServerStorage.RidePetAssets.Eggs; their pivot is at the bottom and the main part has a PromptAttachment.
